It is our great pleasure to announce the 1st International Scientific Conference & Workshop on the Rhizotest method which will be held from September 7th to 10th, 2026 at Cirad in Montpellier, France. Results achieved with the Rhizotest method has been presented several times in previous Icobte-Ichmet conferences. Therefore, we think this event could be of interest for the Istee community. As the International Society of Trace Elements in the Environment (ISTEE) continues to establish its organizational structure, we are holding a special midâterm election to fill vacancies for the second year of the current biennial term. The ISTEE society calls its members for candidates for (1) Vice-president" (one position), and (2) member of the Auditing Committee (four positions).

September 25, 2025ICOBTE & ICHMET conference in Busan marked the launch of ISTEE
The vibrant city of Busan, Republic of Korea, has hosted the final ICOBTE & ICHMET joint conference. This conference marked the beginning of a new society, the International Society of Trace Elements in the Environment, and the continuation of future conferences as the joint ISTEE Conference.
